I just got this book today (yes, I read it on Valentine's Day, which is probably one of the reasons I felt so depressed)
I dunno. Just wanted to say it's very.....unique. Sad, but good. Y'know, sweet little stories about misunderstood children in the world. Good stuff
Mummy Boy's my favorite

Heh,I don't have this book but you can read it online here: homepage.tinet.ie/~sebulbac/burton/home.html I think it's hilarious.. yet kind of depressing. xD The illustrations are awesome. Even though they're sort of short my favorites are The Boy with Nails in His Eyes and Sue. ;D

I loved it. Even the depressing parts. It was classic Burton. My favourites are Robot Boy and Vodoo Girl.

I do too... One of my favorites is Staring Girl. I don't know why... (actually I lie. My nickname in Middle school was Girl with the soul sucking stare. Cause I had (and sometimes still do) have a habit of staring straight ahead without realizing it. I still kindof do that, only not to the same scale. (I just can't really look at peoples eyes, I stare at them or I'd just stare at a point in the wall because I am unable to move my eyes.))
Mummy boy I like as well, also Anchor Baby and Oyster Boy. Poor oyster boy...

Oh, I lurrve this book. I kind of feel like I'm Voodoo girl, so I liked her the best. I printed out her poem and have it on our mandatory school assignment book. Some people think it's cute, in a depressing way. Others are seriously freaked as soon as they read 'Voodoo.' *rolls eyes* It's like my mom when she was watching me watch Edward Scissorhands for the first time (it was on FX, I think). "Isn't that scary? You shouldn't watch it," she said. Typical.
^^^Sorry for going off topic. ^^;;

Everyone says that to me too. They 'worry' about me.

I know. They don't bother really looking at what you're reading and raving about before judging it. Like me with my new found anger that Wallace and Gromit won for Best Animated Film at the Oscars last night. Did you see Tim? He looked so...for lack of a better word, pissed. Gotta love that hair though.
Random zombie: *hits with French bread, then points to the title* STAY ON TOPIC. Me: Sorry... ^^;;

He cleaned up a bit though, I mean he shaved a little-his beard/goatee was neater than in the CatCF DVD.

I simply love The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy, it is beautiful, funny, tragic and original. I think it is Burtons best peice of work as it is everything a Burton peice should be, and the fact that it is all completely his own work makes it all the more appealing.
