Okay, you're thinking - why am I being a b*tch and locking the party threads?
The fact of the matter is that these threads can get very catty and mini disputes can grow into bigger problems. I have not the time nor the patience to deal with all the drama. So I am suggesting we take a break from the party threads. You can agree or disagree but I think that might be best. It doesn't have to be a long break, just a break - a cooling off period, as it were.

I'm really upset about this. I think stopping it was taking it just a little too far. I think we should have just told people to stop the drama and stick to fun. I know it's a short break, but I'm still very upset. I TRIED to keep the mood up. I TRIED to stick to having fun. Why couldn't everyone else do the same?

Wrong.
We were in the middle of sorting things out. I, for one, believed we were going to rationalize our points or whatever about the party threads, and decide what to do from there, NOT just lock them and erase the problems.
There go the old problems, in come the new ones
You don't have to take care of the drama, Gen. We've done it plenty of times before successfully, and I don't mind continuing to do it
You also promised never to lock the party threads. Not to be a stickler or anything, but I'm strict with promises (I have a theory some of you know about)

When it boils down to it, I have the final say. I know you're upset because the "party thread" was a bit of a tradition... but this is a forum about the movie on a whole, not just a party. If it would make you feel better, I can create a special forum just for you, Liz (and the others who would like the threads to go on) and you guys can have your little parties.
It's just that I have been around and I see that there's drama going on, and I am trying to maintain that.
Oh, so now I'm a hypocrite?
I am so sorry I didn't keep my promise.
Things change... and maybe I have grown as a admin.
I'm f*cking sorry.

Like I said, I'm strict with promises. They're delicate things, and if you aren't 100 percent sure you're going to be able to (or willing to) keep one, don't make it
