New Rules for the Party Thread
- Do not exceed 50 pages. After that mark, it is liable to become screwy and delete your older posts.
-Once it hits 50 pages make a new thread and if one of the staff is not on at the time, avoid it like the plague. I have to lock it and move it, and it would be nice if I can do that without having the bug already hitting the thread.
Thank you for all the cooperation. Continue to have fun and party on. ^-^ I hope this system isn't too annoying to you all, but it's what we have to live with now so, sorry guys.

Do we honestly need to keep every single party thread, once its done? Can't we just delete the entire thread afterwards. Because if its being kept because of the DIRE information in it, we can just copy the text and save it to Word, or take a screen shot of it xD
But really, is it needed?

Actually Plasticheart, there's not an ounce of important information in any of the party threads. Not a scrap. I guess people just wanna keep it because of all the good "memories", I suppose. It does suck bandwidth, though.

Uh *raises hand* I beg to differ. That's stuff's important to me, seeing as I'm writing a humorous fanfic based on it. Plus, that's got my inside jokes and whatnot and character bonding stuff
If I'm starting to sound weird, I'm a writer. I obsess over having every little thing saved and making sure it's all there for reference. Which is why I flipped out when the thread went from 250 to around 20.
And my big long 160+ page story was deleted, so I gotta start completely from scratch. All I have is my memory, a few drawings, and maybe a page or two in a notebook.
So, yeah. To me, it's important

Well, seeing that I heard from just a bit ago that Liz was reading through old threads and enjoying them, I guess it isn't such a wasted effort after all.
Some people like to have memories. Otherwise there wouldn't have been such an uproar over the threads becoming corrupt. The problem was that it was rewriting over old posts. And it upset people. So why erase the threads if the whole point of the locking and moving is to keep the posts there. If it really didn't matter, we could have just kept the same old thread and kept rewriting everything.
Memories aren't of dire importance, but neither is much of anything on this board if you look at it that way. Memories are there, and bonding and art. I mean, it's not dire, but it's worth holding on to.
I placed it out of the way and accessable so people could look if they wanted to...
So Steph, I know you have final say in this, but please don't delete those threads. At least not until others are ready, and for some I doubt they will be. It isn't harming the board, and I sincerely doubt it is slowing the board down to keep them.
If you really want them down, I could try to save them to my comps and put them up elsewhere. However at the moment I don't have the time.

Oh, I hope you didn't think that I was going to be all mean and delete them without hearing from you guys first! I didn't realize that everyone wants the old posts there for memories that much!
And EbonyStar, incase something like the posts being deleted/written over [like what happened before], you might want to keep track of all your fanfics in a diary or on Microsoft or something!

And there's no WAY that I'd hope for the party threads to actually be DELETED. Oh geez, even if i'm not as wild about them as you guys, you should know that I know you love 'em. If they are to be kept, it's for you guys!!

LOL Not really, but I am SO attatched to those threads. I'm still reading through our original one. (le sigh) I was REALLY upset when the one w/ 250 pages got knocked back to 20. Ugh...so many memories...gone. But it's not that big of a deal. But I do love those threads to death. They're very important to me.

Don't worry, Im not going to delete them! And if I was going to [or thinking about it] I would obviously ask you guys if it would be alright first.
And Liz, you are now my most favourite person for writing 'le sigh' xD I say things like that all the time. All I do is just add in 'les' 'la' 'le' randomly before English words, and my friends get mad at me because Im actually really good at French. xD
