[Emily]

Here's a poem/song I wrote... it's kind of like if Victor had a song... so yeah... I'm going to try to write a duet for Victor and Emily, should be up soon.. ;D


Victor’s Song


(as he is walking through the forest)


(softly)

This day is going dreary it seems
I’ve ruined my parent’s hopes and dreams
But they can’t understand the way I feel
How can I tell them I want a love that’s real?

Chorus:

Is there such a thing as a happy ending?
What with this marriage pending
My heart is heavy with dismay and sorrow
How I wish I weren’t to be married tomorrow

These words shouldn’t be too hard to recite
But I fail though I try as hard as I might
Why can’t my parents just see past their plans?
I am afraid they will never understand

Chorus

I am afraid of the mess I’m in
Like I’m deep in an ocean and I just can’t swim
My emotions are ruined and I’m in pain
How can I talk to Victoria again?

Maybe it would be best if I just ran away
He’s such a fool, everyone would say
I’ll wander lonely and sad, but they wouldn’t care
It’s not like they even noticed I was there

Aww! That's so...saddening! Beautiful...but saddening. And in the good way. Very well written! I really really liked it. And I can't wait for that duet!

Thanks! Yeah... poor little Victor, all by himself. I think he shoulda had a song...

Here's the duet, I think it's a little better written than Victor's Song...except I overuse the word 'love'... anyways....

Emily: (sings sweetly and softly to Victor)

Victor: (a little stunned by Emily’s words, sings to her)

It’s been such a trying day

I must return to my – (he is cut off by Emily)

Emily:

Victor: (sighs and shakes his head)

You just don’t understand.

Emily:

Victor, darling, you are blind
You’ve spent too long with your kind
Your heart hasn’t the chance to be open like mine
Come with me and we will have a grand time

Victor: (thinks on Emily’s words and sings)

I’ve only known you for a little while
Let my heart melts when I see you smile
I’ll let you hold my hand, I’ll let you take my heart

Both:

We will live together even death did us part

Emily:

I will be your candle

Victor:

I will be your wine

Both:

And with this ring I declare forever you are mine

Emily:

So you will let me have your love?

Victor:

Yes, I think I will try

(Slight pause)

Emily… what if I should die?

(Emily smiles)

Emily:

Don’t worry my love, we’ll take care of later
you are with me and that is all that matters now
I will love you forever, just let me show you how

Both:

People have told me I should send the second one off to Danny Elfman. I don't know what he'd do with it though! and I'm too scared!

Aww! That was really beautiful. I can picture it all happening! Wonderful lyrics...what they say is so true to the character! I can't really explain.. but that just gave me such a feeling of, "aww.." in a lovesick kind of way. Wow. You're very good!
And that is a great idea, to send it to Danny Elfman. I mean, it's a little late to be in the movie (obviously) but it would be nice to see what he thinks! Maybe you'll even get a letter back! HEY! Maybe he'll show it to Tim too, and then he will send back a letter! Haha, I love wishful thinking. But really, do consider sending it! It's really great, and fits the movie really well.

Heh, that is wishful thinking... but it couldn't hurt I guess. Maybe Danny will like it and maybe he can fix it.. I still don't the fact I use 'love' a gazillion times!

Well, I think I will try to send it and see what happens. Maybe they can write a sequel for the movie and the song will be used. LOL!

Aww! That would be very cool. And then I can go around saying, "Hey...you know the song "Love Eternal"? Well, see, I KNOW the girl who wrote it. Yeah."

But really, sending is a great idea, and as you said, what would it hurt?

OMG!!! Those are the most best songs I have ever read. I wish Danny Elfman could have use those songs in the movie. That would have been great.

I wish I wrote them before the film when they had a chance of being used...oh well!

It will probably be a different one... of like Victor and Emily embracing... something like that. I actually was listening to the soundtrack again - and the main titles... that piece, it fit the song so very well - like the words went along perfectly with the melody.

Ohh I'm excited now!
