No problem! I love the song "Insanity".. I bought a 'best of' Oingo Boingo CD today... it's great! I wish I could've gotten into the band earlier.

;D I love all the YouTube Boingo videos. I've had four of them saved to my faves for quite some time now. (le sigh) They make me happy.  Danny rox so hard in all those videos! I love the Just Another Day video. |

I didn't know Danny had a band til just awhile ago (a while being, like, a few months)
My dad knows I'm a burton/Elfman freak, so he just tossed the cd at me one day and said "Here, this is Elfman's band, listen to it"
Not My Slave, Stay, Gratitude, Dead Man's Party, Good-Bye Good-Bye, and No Spill Blood (my friend and I sing that sometimes, we sound so evil) are just awesome. Oh, Weird Science! I hadn't seen the video a while ago, but I could still easily picture Oingo Boingo runnin around a lab and just mixing up random potions and making all this weirdness.
Anyway, yeah. Boingo rocks!

Oingo Boingo permeates a lot of Danny's scores as well.
Or his scores permeate Boingo. I think it's just his music style though.
However I find it sad that most people haven't heard songs like Vultures and Go Away, and Cool City, and I can just go on and on. His mainstream version stuff is good, but, the bouncyness of I've Got to be Entertained.... The mystic knights where he sings calloway ("Well folks now I'm going down to st. James Infirmary... seeeeeee....") Everything. Is just so very very fun to listen to. And Find You, Can't See (Useless), Did it There even are fun and great songs. And no one really hears them.
It's just a travesty I think.
Oh and Vultures in general.
And who ever hasn't heard Good for Your Soul has been deprived!

I WANT to listen to his other stuff! ARGH! I don't want to be just a "mainstream" Boingo fan! I wanna listen to his other stuff! (I have heard his song from his Satan scene in Forbidden Zone & I loved it to death!)

But, there is the only thing. Some of my friends, who like the mainstream, don't like the more, uh, less mainstream stuff. It isn't more eclectic, but it's still good.
However the sound quality at times isn't the best, seeing as some were not commercially released.

You can get their cd's off amazon. Maybe check at borders or warehouse if they have them too. My warehouse had the anthology and nothing to fear there. Um, You can also buy songs individually or entire albums off itunes as well.

iTunes has a good selection. I was looking at some lyrics, and I read a few to songs I haven't heard of (I only have Best O Boingo and the Farewell cd)
I thought Vultures sounded interesting, and I was drawn to it by the title. I don't think it's on iTunes, though. Scratch that, I'm SURE it's not on iTunes. But I'll find it, somehow *determined face*

On a random danny ish boingo note, I'm wearing a shirt like those girls in the Just another Day vid.
And they should release the videos. But I think I might just buy Insanity from itunes.... That would be interesting wouldn't it? Buying Insanity from itunes (not the song the vid)
