There's this part in Corpse Bride where it sounds all messy, yet I can hear some definite 'parts' come through. I think it's all during the part where the Bride rises out of the ground.

That part was pretty well done I think. I just think the songs like The Wedding Song and The Party Arrives are too dverse in themselves, ya know? Like, it's pretty, then scary-ish, then jazzy, then suspenseful, then back to pretty, then just whatever hasn't been in there yet. Don't get me wrong, I love those songs and have no major problems with em whatsoever. It's just not Elfman's absolute best. Then again, if we're comparing it to anything he's done already, it is hard to match soundtracks such as NBC or ES
Has anyone mentioned any of the non-Burton soundtracks? How about Black Beauty? I watched that movie so much when I was little, and my dad told me "Do you know who does the music to this movie?" Little Tara: Nope (not really caring Dad: It's Danny Elfman Me: ......who? Dad: He did the Nightmare Before Christmas music Me: Yeah, sure Dad: Just listen
And sure enough, up came the scene where Beauty's in horseshoes for the first time. That music is so Elfman.
Anyway, they stopped making the soundtracks, so I told my dad I wanted one for Christmas, and when he looked at used ones on ebay they were about 80 dollars at the least
But it's marvelous. I'll get it and treasure it forever. I'll be buried with it when I die Die, die, we all pass away But don't wear a frown, cause it's really okay
Heheh, sorry. I just love that song to death

I love CatCf and Edward Scissorhands as well as Nightmare. I simply cannot decide. They are all beautiful in their own unique way.

Mine's Corpse Bride. Hands down. The piano solo and duet are so evil! Evil meaning wicked, meaning good.

To pick my favorite score is a toughie. Although at the moment Sommersby wins for non burton, Scissorhands for Burton.

Randomness: I FINALLY GOT THE BLACK BEAUTY SOUNDTRACK! Okay, so it's a bootleg copy with Good Will Hutning (which danny also did, migt I add) But it's the soundtrack. It's MARVELOUS
And I found the part I was talking about (somehwere) that would make you go "Whoa, that's DEFINITELY Elfman"
It's during the song Gang on the Run, at 0:42 It's just really a small portion of the song, but it sounds so Elfmanish it almost doesn't fit in with the rest of the soundtrack
But really, it's gorgeous

I want to hear that scoore now. IF only cause... Well, I want to hear all his film scores really. They, as so very interesting, and most of the time you can tell it is him. (Sommersby you wouldn't though. Sommersby reminds me of a fantasy lord of the rings type score. And the sound does resemble lord of the rings. However this was made years before LotR came out.) I got Charlie and the Chocolate Factory score and, oh man, it's so very nice. It's dark and, well, I love bollywood music. I've always loved bollywood music. I've loved indian, middle easter music for so long it isn't funny. And I haven't been able to hear much of it because, well, how often do you hear it on the radio and I don't get India MTV anymore... And there is bollywood music in Charlie. Lots of it. I listen to it and go "weeee... *thunk*" in amazement. And then I listen to interviews and it's "he loves bollywood, bollywood, bollywood" He needs to do another score using bollywood influences. I mean, he does, but he needs to do antoher nother one. Cause those are holy.

I have yet to actually hear what the sleepy Hollow soundtrack sounds like. Any time I watched that movie, we had a scratched up copy or an oldish one, and the sound was horrible. Then the movie started flipping out on me near the end XP

I would die if that happened. CAuse the best parts of a movie, in my opinion, is music. Which is why I love Danny so much. He can make a movie good even if the actual story and acting and such are horrible.

My favourite music in the movie is In the Forest/ The Witch. The violin in it is absolutely insane.
