Me: *rolls eyes* I should have given you that other medication, demidrol or something instead.

And it doesn't matter too much. I'm doing the same. But while I'm here I might as well hang out with my favorite doctor.

Me: You are silly. If I wanted the wombat I'd have brought the wombat in the first place. He's a nice guy but not as interesting.
House: What's more interesting than a wombat? Wait, scratch that, stupid question.
me: Yes it was. You know, your stiches are healing. We could get you in normal clothes now.
House: Ah, I think I'll stick with the robes. Nothing better than flimsy robes in a sunless city.
Me: What? You have pink boxers at home or something?
House: no, Just don't entertain the thought of getting dressed or in this case unrobed in front of others.
Me: There is a bathroom over there and don't worry. *tosses him a small bag* Didn't look, Wilson packed it.
House: Ok. Wilson packed me a bag. And he doesn't find it odd that I'm here. Normally I'd wake up by now.
Me: And you want to. I guess it sucks to be you.

Ah, I'm reading The Lantern Bearers by Rosemary Sutcliff. I've never read any books other than hers with language that is quite strange. She uses the word "thing" a lot...

Rosemary Sutcliff's books are a bit confusing for me. Well, it doesn't really say what time period, and I can't really guess, but the last of the Roman Auxiliaries are setting sail to leave Britain forever because the barbarians are invading. One legionnaire, Aquila, decides to stay behind and fight to save his native land. But he ends up being captured by the Saxons and treated as a slave. Right now I've gotten to the part where he manages to escape and go find someone who's willing to fight with him, I guess. It's hard for me to follow, and it's kinda boring. XP
