ME: Oh God, you're right! Carrion left w/o it! Any way we can save it? MORI: Why would you want to save it? ME: *shrugs* I dunno. I think they're cool. They've never bothered me.
You ok, man? That thing's been chasin' you for a long time.
That sounds really weird to me. I've never head anyone pronounce it like that. They even pronounced it "Terra" on Kim Possible. Plus, I think it sounds better.
I tried saying it like that, but I got confused. What kind of "a" sound is that? Gimme an example.

MENDELSON: *bitter laugh* You're obviously not smart enough to be afraid
MENDELSON: *glares* I don't help, and I don't need sympathy *limps off* ME: .......okay, so he's mean and nasty most of the time. But he's still cool
I know. I like the way Terra sounds. But the long a is kinda nice, too. I've always used a short a sound. Then there are some people who pronounce the first a the way you'd say the letter's name. But it's subtle, so I didn't even notice at first. I just realized I generally say my name in the way that's most difficult to pronounce. weird
I say the first "a" like the "a" in cat, or snap. That short, kind of annoying sound, actually. I feel like I should change the way I pronounce m own name, but everyone says it differently. That's what I sometimes hate about my name: It seems like there's always another way to say it XP

*sighs* Enough tickle fighting. *sits down on the couch* I'm so tired... I'm wasting away. Victor: No you're not. Me: I feel like I am... Listen, I'm not going to be here for a few days... think you can manage? Victor: I've done it before. Me: Yea... well, don't do anything TOO strenuious while I'm gone. Victor: Where did you pick up that word? Me: I have no idea - probably English class. Victor: *sighs* Me: Don't worry! I'm not going to talk about English class.

Okay, hang on. I'll give examples
First is the way I pronounce it It's with a short "a" sound, like "cat" or "snap"
Next is the way some of my friends say it, kind of like "Tare-uh" Kind of like "I tear a piece of paper out of my notebook"
Then there's the most common way, I think, which sounds most elegant. The "Tar" is pronounced.....well, like the word "tar." and the final "a" is an "uh" sound.
Then there's Terra. Um.....the e makes a kind of flat sound, like in "wet" or "bed"
I think that's it. Well, someone pronounced my name as "TEE-rah" once, but that was stupid, and we won't get into that. That way doesn't count

*laughs softly* Man, I realize how lat I always am in those posts. Ah well. And do you know what is funny? Today was looking out to be pretty good until I got home. I got an 8 on an essay, and I've never gotten that high on an essay before. It was an inclass essay too. Wrote it in 30 minutes and on something I've never read before. And I got an 8 out of 9. Which is really really good. (although it wasn't really graded, I'm still proud of myself)

*shrugs* Yea, probably. Ignorance is bliss, after all.
*looks a little surprised*.....okey-dokey then.
Yea, ya could've mentioned that earlier.
Well, that would be a matter of opinion...
Are you freaking kidding me? God, I just thought everyone said it like "Terra".
Well, you always were one to go against the mainstream.
Not mine. ;D
*looks over at the BB's* Ever notice how when I say I'm gonna chill w/ you, I never do?
Oh! That's how I say it. I always figured that way & "Terra" had the same pronunciation.

Hi Squish.
*yawn* I think I'm gonna crash right here on this couch that I'm sitting on. Victor: May I ... um... crash with you? Me: Sure. I need some company... not in that way. Victor: *giggles* Me: You know, I would tackle you... but I'm too tired. So you're spared another tickle fight.

MENDELSON: *calls over his shoulder* You must be in Heaven* ME: Ignore him, he's nasty Hey, if you read the books, you'll see that he's cool. Besides, you gotta give the guy a break here and there. He's been working for Carrion since for ever, his brothers are dead, and he himself dies, what, twice? Poor guy. I pity him. and he's missing a foot. Plus, he's ugly. How can you not pity him? You're the third person I've ever met who says it like that I thought everyone said it with the short "a" sound or the elegant way. I didn't know people said it like "tear a" until yesterday. But I do like how that sounds Maybe you shouldn't say it and see how it goes from now on Oohhhhhhh, I see ^.^ It's confusing. And everyone says it just a little differently. Oh well, there's only one other Tara in the school, and she's in middle school. But she'll come up to the hih school next year. I hope she doesn't go to my school anymore, because I really don't like her. Huh, it's funny, cause she's the only other Tara in the school, and she's also the only other person in the school besides me who owns Tim Burton shirts. Nightmare Before Christmas and Willy Wonka. Of course, I beat her with two Jack Skellington shirts (one says Bone Daddy ) and a Corpse Bride one GASP! SQUIIIIIISHYYY! Hi ^.^ You pronounce it the way most people do, I think. I didn't realize that way was so common ^.^;;;
