One of my best friends was Frenchy when our school did Grease. She couldn't have been more opposite of Frenchy's character if she'd tried, but she did really well. Everyone did, actually
Yo, peeps. How's it goin?

*is randomly glomped* Hey, Lauren. Sup?
They're lyrics from one of the most famous requiems. Our chorus teacher has us sing a lot of songs in Latin and German. Come to think of it, we haven't sung anything so far that isn't in Latin or German. It's very fun, actually, and the songs are gorgeous. There's one that they sang last semester (I wasn't in the class then) that's sooo pretty
Anyway, I guess the song title's just Dies Irae. None of the songs we're singing really have titles, so we just take the first word or two and make that the title ^.^
Apparently it's very famous, used a LOT in movies. I didn't know that, and I didn't recognize it the first time, but now I'm starting to recognize it in a lot of places. I think it's actually in a song from the Lion King soundtrack (weiiird.....)
I've seen a bunch of different translations for it, but they basically say the same thing, and these are the translations I like the best so far Dies irae, dies illa That day of wrath, that dreadful day, Solvet saeclum in favilla Shall Heaven and Earth in ashes lay
There's a lot more, but those are the first two lines

Huh. You know, I never would have thought that would be the meaning. But hey... cool. *waves* Hiya Tara... You know, I'm looking up that song now. And probably going to send you something from Vision, cause you might like it.

Yeah, it's a dark-ounding song. We asked our music teacher, Josh, what it was all about, and he said it was one of the most famous death songs. Another teacher came into the room, and all Josh had to do was play six of the notes on the piano before she recognized the tune He says we're learning it cause he likes songs about death. And he stuck me with the sopranos in that song and another, and those are the only two I can't reach high enough! And then in the rest of the songs I'm alto, and I can't reach the low notes! I'm gonna have a word with him about this ;P
But until then....... Pange lingua gloriosi corporis mysterium Sanguinisque pretiosi, quem in mundi pretium Fructus ventris generosi, rex effudit gentium
That was from memory, so sorry if I got some Latin spelling errors or whatever. I think that's right, though
Oh, by the way Sharon, I love the other two songs you sent me. Very cool stuff; I like it

Hooray for that. Heh. I have odd tastes. And that sounds really nice. I see some words... blood, mysterious glorious corpse? Dang... I need to brush up on my basic latin. It probably is right Tara. I know that I would butcher it if I tried. Have you ever heard of Hildegard von Bingen? Either of you?

It's a pretty song, one of my favorites to sing in class cause it's easy for me ^.^
It's the one we go over most in class, so I have the lyrics memorized at least
Nope, sorry. I'll check it out, though

My story's goin.......pretty good, I guess. I'm kinda stuck. Not for bigger ideas, really, like what's mainly gonna happen, but just the smaller moments and details. I keep reusing the same words over and over, and it's annoying me a lot XP Even with a thesaurus
It sounds awesome. I might just have to look into CATS more myself
