It's BECAUSE they have no clue what they're talking about that I find it offensive. They don't even bother to go out and fins out more about goths, they just stand around and say "LOL goths sux00rs beuz they wear all black an they listen to death songs an hate everbody LOL". Nothing ticks me off like stereotyping unjustly. Not all goths do that. In fact, many goths wear a vast spectrum of colors, and are really quite happy most of the time. When I was goth, you know what I listened to? MICHELLE BRANCH. Yeah, she's REALLY hardcore. Woo.
It's not about black. It's not about writing depressing poetry. It's not about serving satan. It's about expression and seeing the world in a different, and slightly darker, perspective. That's what it was for me.
