What Rae said
And Galinda was by far one of the best characters ever, and the actress (I can't remember who it was, but I have a program somewhere.......). She completely stole the show
It was AMAZING

I've heard so much crap about High School Musical... I really don't want to see it. I hear it stereotypes theatre kids as prima donnas. Hey. Not all of us theatre kids are prima donnas! Some of them are... thank goodness I never became that way. Anyhoodles... my mom and I are going to see Cabaret (hopefully) over the summer. We both love it!

Some of them are... thank goodness I never became that way. I know. I don't want to see it, either. The music is okay, but my friends ALWAYS talk about how good it is and they're always singing the songs from it. It drives me crazy. I end up walking away; I can't stand it.

I'd probably do the same thing. I'd pull an Eric Cartman and be like "Screw you guys, I'm going home!"
I remember when The Phantom of the Opera came out (film version) ... and my friends LOVED it. They tried talking me into seeing it but I just didn't. I don't know why... but I didn't. I remember one of my friends had the soundtrack and let me listen to "Think of Me" (which I really enjoyed). But by the time I saw the movie (over spring break) I didn't like it. I mean, I liked parts of it but it was all right... not worth the money to go see in a movie theatre, though.

High School Musical needs to die. That's all I have to say.

Thank you. I mean, usually the school I go to is aware of how pointless stuff like that can be, but my theater teacher told my class that there were kid who auditioned for the play this year with songs from HSM. I search for some good sheet music, and that's the first thing that pops up on all the websites. Heck, even one of my theater teachers owned the CD. We had a small discussion about it in my class ^.^;;;
I just don't get it. I think the ending confused the hell out of me. It just doesn't make sense at all

I had to suffer through it TWICE on the bus rides to & from Toronto. Thank God for my iPod (LOL Rhyme). Seriously, I don't know what the huge appeal is. The main characters are annoying as hell & not believable at all. I mean, this one girl is supposed to be singing out of heartbreak. She's freaking SMILING through the whole song! And guess what? Apparently, it's the #1 selling soundtrack in my area. *shudders* Ok, I'm done.

It's, like, the #1 selling soundtrack in america. As soon as I saw the main character, whatever her name is, I just went "I hate her already" And her voice bugged the heck outta me. I liked the brother and sister, though. They were entertaining, at least

Ditto to everything you just said. Oy....I swear, girls are only considered good singers nowadays if they sound like chipmunks on helium.

Haha. That's kind of sad how it's the number one soundtrack.
I mean... I prefer West Side Story and Les Mis...but that's just me. Newsies is a cute musical, though... same with Cats Don't Dance.

Flower Drum Song. (at Tara's school) I loved it more for the people in it cuz I slightly know them and I've heard stories about them, so I could see how different they were from the characters they were playing. And the Dan blooper, best thing EVER...

High School Musical needs to die. That's all I have to say. Definetly. I mean, the songs suck, the coreography sucks, the movie sucks, and the "hottie" is the ugliest friggin guy I've ever had the misfortune to see. WHY IS IT SO POPULAR?!?!?!?
Anyway, I'm going to see the Lion King in September. I am tres excited ;D
